Setting your time and date preferences

To set your Workast date and time preferences:

- Click on your avatar in the Workast web app

- Select "Preferences" - this will open your user preferences screen

- Under the "Date and Time" heading, you can adjust the following settings:

  • Timezone
  • Date format
  • Time format
  • Start of the week

After completing your preference changes, click on the X in the top right-hand corner of the screen to exit the preferences screen.

Timezone

Your timezone should be set automatically based on your Slack preferences, but it can be adjusted.  To adjust it:

  • Click on the X to clear the entry, then enter the nearest major city or time zone into the text box.  
  • A list of time zones will populate based on your entry - select the correct time zone.  
  • A confirmation will appear that your setting has successfully been updated.

Date format

  • To adjust the date format between month/day/year (M/D/Y) and day/month/year (D/M/Y), click on the arrow next to your current date format selection.  A drop-down with options will appear.
  • Click on your desired date format selection
  • A confirmation will appear that your setting has been successfully updated

Time Format

  • To adjust the time format between the 12 hour clock and the 24 hour clock, click on the arrow next to your current time format selection.  A drop-down with options will appear.
  • Click on your preferred time format
  • A confirmation will appear that your setting has been successfully updated

Start of the week

  • To update your week start day between Sunday and Monday, click on the the arrow next to your current current week start day selection.  A drop-down with options will appear.
  • Click on your preferred week start day.
  • A confirmation will appear that your setting has been successfully changed

Please note - adjusting the start of the week setting to Monday will adjust the calendar when you are setting a due date for a task, but will not amend the main calendar appearance, nor the appearance of the calendar view in spaces at this time.
